We’re thrilled to be celebrating an exciting milestone this year, 25 years of production at our Lichfield facility! From the beginning, we’ve been committed to delivering quality and innovation, and it’s been an incredible journey so far.
The Florette brand was launched in France in 1987, specialising in washed and ready to eat salad leaf mixes.
Following its success breaking through the French market, Florette launched the first bagged salad product in the UK four years later – We still sell our iconic Classic Crispy salad today and is our biggest seller!
Originally produced in France and exported to the UK, Florette’s UK factory opened in 1999 to keep up with growing demand. We’re still at this same site in Lichfield today!
Since our factory opened, we have produced over 1.6 billion bags of Florette salad – That’s the same weight as around 35,500 elephants!
This year sees 25 years of the Florette brand being produced in the UK. We will continue to invite people to (re)create their own salads and to make them ‘UnFloretteable’. Similarly, watch this space for more partnerships and a whole new range of products. Here is to the next 25!
